Relevance of Infrastructure
Infrastructure is the support system on which the efficient working of a modern industrial economy depends. Modern agriculture, too, depends heavily on it — for the speedy, large-scale transport of seeds, pesticides and fertilisers and of the produce itself, using modern roadways, railways and shipping facilities. In recent times agriculture has also come to depend on insurance and banking facilities, because it increasingly operates on a very large scale.
