Refund Policy

1. Summary — Your Refund Rights Depend on How You Started

ConceptFirst sells access to digital self-study subscriptions — written learning content delivered immediately on purchase (not video lectures or live classes, which we do not offer). Whether a completed purchase is refundable depends on whether you had our free trial first:

  • If you took the 14-day free trial (which every new account receives): subscription purchases are final and non-refundable once placed. The trial is your evaluation period — see Section 2.
  • If you subscribed without ever taking the free trial (for example an older account created before the free trial existed): your first subscription order is refundable within 7 days of purchase, provided you have engaged with fewer than 100 questions — see Section 3.

Either way, the narrow, genuinely fair exceptions in Section 4 (accidental charges, non-delivery) always apply. Where mandatory statutory consumer rights apply, those rights prevail over this policy.

2. If You Took the Free Trial — Purchases Are Final

When you create an account you get 14 days of full, free access to the platform — every subject, board, exam and feature that is live — with no card or payment method required. This is a real, no-strings evaluation: read the concept explanations, work through solved questions and previous-year papers, try the mock tests, and use the tools, all before deciding whether to pay.

The trial does not convert to a paid plan automatically and no charge is ever made when it ends — your account simply reverts to the free tier unless you choose to subscribe. Because you have already had the whole platform to evaluate at no cost, a subscription you then choose to buy is a considered decision, and is final once placed, regardless of how much or how little you subsequently use. Please use your trial to decide.

3. If You Subscribed Without the Free Trial — 7-Day Window

If you purchased a subscription without ever having taken the 14-day free trial, you did not get that evaluation window, so a limited money-back window applies instead. Your firstsubscription order is refundable if both:

  • you request it within 7 days of the purchase, and
  • you have engaged with fewer than 100 questions across the platform (questions viewed or answered in mock tests; saved bookmarks and personal notes do not count).

Renewals and repeat purchases are not refundable under this window (see Section 5). You can check your exact eligibility, with a full itemised view of what you've used, any time in Dashboard → Billing → Refunds. The refunded amount is the price paid less the non-refundable payment-gateway fee, issued as a GST credit note where GST applies.

4. Narrow Exceptions We Always Fix

Whichever of the above applies to you, we will always make things right, in full, in these genuinely fair situations:

  • Accidental or duplicate charge: if you were charged twice for the same thing, or an order was placed by genuine mistake (including an unintended auto-renew charge), tell us within 48 hours and — provided that order has not unlocked any additional access you then used — we reverse it in full.
  • We failed to deliver: if a payment succeeded but the access you paid for was not actually granted and we cannot fix the access, we refund it in full.
  • Unredeemed eGift: a gift subscription that your recipient has not yet redeemed can be refunded to you (the buyer) within 14 days of purchase — nothing has been used. Once redeemed, the “final once placed” rule applies.

Outside these situations, the self-study nature of the product and the 14-day free trial mean a change of mind after purchase is not a ground for a refund.

4. Renewals, Vouchers, Comp Access

  • Renewals and additional orders: a renewal or a further purchase stacks its term on top of your existing plan's remaining time (it never overlaps or overwrites what you already have) and is final and non-refundable, save for the accidental/duplicate-charge exception in Section 3. If you enabled optional auto-renew, you can cancel it anytime from your dashboard — cancelling stops future charges, and access continues to the end of the period already paid; there are no part-period refunds.
  • Voucher-discounted orders: treated the same as any other order (final once placed); the accidental/duplicate-charge exception, if it ever applies, is calculated on the actual amount paid after the discount.
  • Complimentary access: has no monetary value and is not refundable.

5. How to Raise a Billing Issue

For the exceptions in Section 3, contact us at hello@conceptfirst.ai or via the contact page with your order reference — this is the fastest route and needs no arguing. Your full order history and invoices are always available in Dashboard → Billing. Where an approved refund is due, it is issued to the original payment method via Razorpay, typically within 5–7 business days of approval, subject to your bank; where GST applies, an approved refund is accompanied by a GST credit note against your original invoice.

6. Abuse and Statutory Rights

We may decline or reverse access where there is evidence of abuse — for example creating multiple accounts to obtain repeated free trials, credential sharing, or other breach of the Terms of Use. Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory statutory consumer right you have; where such a right applies, it prevails over this policy.
