WBJEE

WBJEE is West Bengal’s state entrance test for engineering and pharmacy. It is sat on one day as two papers — Paper I, Mathematics (75 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours), and Paper II, Physics and Chemistry together (80 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours). What makes WBJEE unusual is its marking: every subject splits into three question categories — Category 1 (+1, −0.25), Category 2 (+2, −0.5), and Category 3, which is multiple-correct (+2, no negative marking, part marks for a partly-right answer). The same score gives two ranks — a General Merit Rank for engineering and a Pharmacy Merit Rank for B.Pharm.
