Any three: ideal solution = benzene+toluene; Zn compounds colourless (3d¹⁰, no d–d transition); ethers boil lower (no H-bonding); phenoxide stable (resonance delocalisation).

  3. Low boiling point of ethers vs alcohols. Alcohols have an –O–H group and associate through strong intermolecular hydrogen bonding, raising their boiling points.
