WWW is the web of hyperlinked documents/pages accessed over the Internet via browsers; Fax (facsimile) sends an exact printed copy of a document over the telephone network by scanning and reprinting.

WWW (World Wide Web).

The World Wide Web is an enormous, interlinked collection of electronic documents (web pages) stored on computers (web servers) all over the world. Each page has a unique address called a URL (Uniform Resource Locator), and pages are connected to one another by hyperlinks. Using a program called a web browser, a user connected to the Internet can retrieve and view these pages — text, images, audio and video — from anywhere. It was devised by Tim Berners-Lee and has become the principal means of sharing information globally.
