New Gross National Income = ₹9,600 crore.

Given: Initial income = ₹8,000 crore; MPC = 0.75; Investment ΔI = ₹400 crore.

Step 1 — Investment multiplier K = 1 ÷ (1 − MPC) = 1 ÷ (1 − 0.75) = 1 ÷ 0.25 = 4.

Step 2 — Increase in income ΔY = K × ΔI = 4 × 400 = ₹1,600 crore.

Step 3 — New national income = Initial income + ΔY = 8,000 + 1,600 = ₹9,600 crore.
