With a 3.5:1 current ratio and ₹90,000 working capital, current liabilities work out to ₹36,000 and current assets to ₹1,26,000.

Working:

Let Current Liabilities = x

Since Current Ratio = Current Assets : Current Liabilities = 3.5 : 1, Current Assets = 3.5x

Working Capital = Current Assets − Current Liabilities

90,000 = 3.5x − x

90,000 = 2.5x

x = 90,000 ÷ 2.5 = 36,000

So:

  • Current Liabilities = ₹36,000
  • Current Assets = 3.5 × 36,000 = ₹1,26,000 …
