The investment multiplier measures how many times income rises for a given rise in investment; k = ΔY/ΔI = 1/(1−MPC) = 1/MPS.

The investment multiplier (k) is the ratio of the total change in national income (ΔY\Delta Y) to the initial change in investment (ΔI\Delta I) that brought it about.
