Energy consumed = Power × time. Multiply the 100 W rating by the 10-hour duration, either keeping hours (to get kWh) or converting to seconds (to get joules).

The electrical energy (work) consumed by an appliance is:

E = P × t

where P is the power rating and t is the time of operation.

Given: P = 100 W, t = 10 h

In commercial units (kWh, the "unit" used for electricity billing):

E = 100 W × 10 h = 1000 Wh = 1000/1000 kWh = 1 kWh

So the bulb uses 1 kWh, i.e. 1 "unit" of electricity.
