Forfeiture entry debits Share Capital Rs. 1,750, credits Forfeiture Rs. 500 and the unpaid Allotment (750) and First Call (500).

Anil holds 25 shares of Rs. 100 each. Amount called up per share so far = application 20 + allotment 30 + first call 20 = Rs. 70. He paid only application Rs. 20 and defaulted on allotment Rs. 30 and first call Rs. 20.

For 25 shares: called-up = 25 x 70 = 1,750; paid = 25 x 20 = 500; allotment due = 25 x 30 = 750; first call due = 25 x 20 = 500.
