Price floor = government-fixed minimum price above equilibrium (e.g., MSP, minimum wages).

A price floor (minimum price) is the lowest price fixed by the government, above the equilibrium price, so that producers/sellers get a fair and remunerative return. Because it is above equilibrium, it tends to create a surplus (excess supply), which the government often has to buy up.
