Items that involve no actual movement of cash or bank funds — such as credit purchases/sales, depreciation, and bad debts — are never recorded in an amended (cash-and-bank column) cash book.

An "amended" (double-column: Cash and Bank) cash book is still fundamentally a record of actual cash and bank receipts and payments — nothing else. Two items that are therefore never recorded in it:
