Accounting Standards are the uniform rule-book for financial reporting.

An Accounting Standard is a written, authoritative policy document relating to the recognition, measurement, treatment, presentation and disclosure of accounting transactions and events in financial statements, issued by a recognised accounting/regulatory body (in India, by the ICAI, now largely converged with Ind AS and overseen with the National Financial Reporting Authority).
