Pneumonia spreads chiefly by inhaling infected droplets (or via shared articles); it is commonly caused by the bacteria Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae.

Suresh's fever, chills, cough, breathing difficulty and fluid in the alveoli are classic features of pneumonia, a disease of the lungs in which the alveoli get filled with fluid, hampering exchange of oxygen.
