Dissolution of partnership = reconstitution (firm continues); dissolution of firm = business wound up.

Differences between dissolution of partnership and dissolution of partnership firm (any two):

  1. CONTINUATION OF BUSINESS - In dissolution of partnership, only the existing agreement comes to an end (e.g. on admission, retirement or death) and the firm CONTINUES with a changed agreement (reconstitution). In dissolution of the FIRM, the business is COMPLETELY wound up and ceases to exist.
