Insect pollination (entomophily) relies on flowers advertising themselves to insects -- bright colour, scent, nectar reward and sticky pollen -- so the term, an example plant, and four such adaptive traits are asked here.

Term: Pollination carried out by insects (bees, butterflies, moths, beetles, flies etc.) is called entomophily, and such flowers are termed entomophilous.

Example: Common insect-pollinated plants include sunflower (Helianthus annuus), Salvia, rose, mustard and apple.
