Deed silent → no interest on capital, profit shared equally: Nanda ₹27,500, Bhanwar ₹27,500. (OR option: adjustment entry Komal's Capital A/c Dr. ₹4,000, To Vinod's Capital A/c ₹4,000.)

Main option — Profit and Loss Appropriation Account

To Profit transferred to Capital A/cs:By Profit & Loss A/c (net profit)55,000
  Nanda — 27,500
  Bhanwar — 27,50055,000
55,00055,000

OR option — Adjustment entry for omitted interest on capital @ 10%

Interest on capital: Vinod = 10% of 2,40,000 = ₹24,000; Komal = 10% of 2,60,000 = ₹26,000; total ₹50,000. This interest, had it been recorded, would reduce the divisible profit by ₹50,000, which was wrongly shared in 2 : 3 (Vinod ₹20,000, Komal ₹30,000).
