After Z is admitted for 1/4 taken equally from X and Y, the new ratio is X : Y : Z = 19 : 11 : 10.

Old ratio X : Y = 3 : 2, i.e. X = 3/5 and Y = 2/5. Z's share = 1/4, taken equally from X and Y, so each sacrifices 1/4 ÷ 2 = 1/8.
