The Revaluation Account records the rise/fall in values of assets and liabilities on reconstitution; its net result goes to the old partners in the old ratio.

When a firm is reconstituted (admission, retirement or death of a partner), the assets and liabilities are revalued at their current worth so that the gain or loss belonging to the old period is adjusted before the change.
