A foreign invoice is the exporter's bill stating the goods, quantity, value and charges; its proforma is shown below.

Meaning: A foreign invoice (export/commercial invoice) is a document prepared by the exporter and sent to the importer giving a complete statement of the goods exported — their description, quantity, quality, unit price and total value — together with the charges (packing, freight, insurance) and the terms of payment. It acts as the exporter's bill for the goods and is needed for customs, payment and record purposes.
