Elasticity of supply is measured by the Percentage Method and the Geometric (Graphic) Method.

  1. Percentage (Proportionate/Arc or Point) Method: Es = (Percentage change in quantity supplied) ÷ (Percentage change in price) = (ΔQs/Qs × 100) ÷ (ΔP/P × 100). This gives a precise numerical value of elasticity.
  2.
