Equal-angle line has direction cosines (±13,±13,±13)\left(\pm\tfrac{1}{\sqrt3},\pm\tfrac{1}{\sqrt3},\pm\tfrac{1}{\sqrt3}\right).

Concept. Direction cosines l,m,nl,m,n always satisfy l2+m2+n2=1l^2+m^2+n^2=1. "Equal angles with the axes" means α=β=γ\alpha=\beta=\gamma, so l=m=nl=m=n.

Steps. Let l=m=nl=m=n. Then

l2+l2+l2=1  ⟹  3l2=1  ⟹  l=±13.l^2+l^2+l^2=1\implies 3l^2=1\implies l=\pm\frac{1}{\sqrt3}.

Hence the direction cosines are …
