Add back transfer to General Reserve (7,000), depreciation (12,000) and goodwill written off (4,000); deduct the non-operating profit on sale of land (2,000). Operating Profit = ₹2,71,000.

The ₹2,50,000 is profit after these adjustments, so to reach the operating profit we reverse them. Transfer to General Reserve is an appropriation (not an operating outflow) → add back. Depreciation and goodwill written off are non-cash charges → add back. Profit on sale of land is a non-operating (investing) gain → deduct.
