Revaluation Account records changes in asset/liability values at reconstitution; Gaining Ratio = New Ratio - Old Ratio.

What do you mean by Revaluation Account?

At the time of admission, retirement or death of a partner, the assets and liabilities of the firm are revalued to their true current values. The Revaluation Account (also called Profit and Loss Adjustment Account) is a nominal account opened for this purpose: a decrease in asset value or increase in liability is a loss (debit), and an increase in asset value or decrease in liability is a gain (credit). Its net balance (profit or loss on revaluation) is transferred to the old partners' capital accounts in their old profit-sharing ratio.
