Draw adjacent bars (heights = frequencies); join their tops' midpoints for the polygon.

Data: Marks 10-20, 20-30, 30-40, 40-50, 50-60, 60-70 with No. of students 10, 12, 16, 20, 18, 9.

Histogram: take the class-intervals on the X-axis (on a continuous scale) and the frequencies on the Y-axis; over each class draw a rectangle (bar) with no gap between bars, the height of each bar equal to the frequency of that class (10, 12, 16, 20, 18, 9). The tallest bar is over 40-50 (frequency 20).
