Any two notes: Chemical nature of enzyme (proteinaceous biocatalysts, specific, reusable) and Nucleus (double-membraned control centre holding the genetic material).

(a) Chemical nature of enzyme — Enzymes are biological catalysts, chemically proteins (globular proteins), though a few RNA molecules called ribozymes also act as enzymes. Each enzyme has an active site to which the substrate binds. They are highly specific, speed up reactions by lowering the activation energy, work best at an optimum temperature and pH, are not consumed in the reaction, and may need cofactors/coenzymes. The active protein part with its cofactor is the holoenzyme.
