Figure — The answer describes a T.S. of testis showing seminiferous tubules lined by germinal epithelium (spermatogonia

The testis in cross-section is packed with coiled seminiferous tubules (where sperm are produced) surrounded by testosterone-secreting Leydig cells in the interstitial spaces.

T.S. of testis — structure: The testis is covered externally by a tough fibrous capsule, the tunica albuginea. In cross-section, the interior shows many closely packed, highly coiled tubes called seminiferous tubules, cut in various planes (circular/oval sections). Each seminiferous tubule is lined internally by germinal (spermatogenic) epithelium, showing (from the tubule's periphery towards its lumen) spermatogonia (stem cells), primary spermatocytes, secondary spermatocytes, spermatids, and finally mature sperm cells (spermatozoa) with their tails projecting into the lumen — representing successive stages of spermatogenesis. Interspersed among the spermatogenic cells are tall, columnar Sertoli cells, which nourish the developing germ cells and support spermatogenesis. In the loose connective-tissue spaces between adjacent seminiferous tubules (the interstitial or Leydig cell spaces) lie clusters of Leydig cells (interstitial cells), which secrete the male sex hormone testosterone. (A hand-drawn diagram would depict several rounded/oval seminiferous tubule sections with the layered germinal epithelium as described, and small clusters of Leydig cells labelled in the interstitial spaces between them — described here as no image can be drawn in this text answer.)
