A clean full-subscription case: 40,000 shares of ₹10, all money received, Share Capital raised = ₹4,00,000 with no refund and no arrears.

Concept

When applications exactly equal the shares issued and every instalment is received on time, the accounting is the simplest form of share issue. Each amount due (application, allotment, call) is recorded against the relevant instalment account and then transferred to Share Capital, which is always credited because it represents the company's obligation to its shareholders.

Working Notes

  • Face value ₹10 = ₹4 (application) + ₹3 (allotment) + ₹3 (first and final call, the balance).
  • Application: 40,000 × ₹4 = ₹1,60,000.
  • Allotment: 40,000 × ₹3 = ₹1,20,000.
  • First and final call: 40,000 × ₹3 = ₹1,20,000.
