The email breaks four of the five listed etiquettes — it has no subject, no formal greeting, uses non-self-explanatory terms ("PFA", attachment "123.docx") and no regards; only the sender's identity is present (she signs "Neerja").

Email etiquette is about making a mail effortless for the receiver to understand and act on: a meaningful subject, a courteous opening and closing, plain self-explanatory wording and file names, and a clear sender identity. Judge Neerja's mail against each option:

a) Subject of the mail — MISSING. The snapshot clearly shows "(no subject)". A teacher receiving dozens of mails cannot tell what this one is about. A proper subject would be something like "Computer Science Project Submission — Neerja, Class XI".

b) Formal greeting — MISSING. The body begins directly with "PFA the required document…". A mail to a teacher should open with a formal salutation such as "Respected Ma'am," or "Dear Madam,".

c) Self-explanatory terms — MISSING. Two problems here:

  • "PFA" (Please Find Attached) is an abbreviation; the receiver should not have to decode short forms.
  • The attachment is named 123.docx — a meaningless name. It should be renamed to describe its content, e.g. CS_Project_Neerja_XI.docx.

d) Identity of the sender — PRESENT (not missing). Neerja writes her name at the end of the body ("…with this email. Neerja"), and the From field also shows "Neerja". So the teacher does know who sent it — this etiquette is satisfied, though a fuller signature (name, class, section, roll number) would be even better. …
