Equity and Liabilities (Shareholders' Funds, Non-Current Liabilities, Current Liabilities) and II. Assets (Non-Current Assets, Current Assets) — whose totals are always equal.
The Balance Sheet of a Company
The Balance Sheet is a statement of the financial position of a company on a particular date. For a company it is not a free-form T-account; the Companies Act, 2013 requires it to be presented in the vertical form of Schedule III, which classifies every item as current or non-current and shows figures for both the current and the previous reporting period.
