Pascal's law: pressure applied anywhere in a confined, incompressible fluid is transmitted equally to every point of the fluid and to the walls of the container, without loss.

Statement: If gravity effects are ignored, the pressure in a fluid at rest is the same at all points; more generally, when an external pressure is applied to an enclosed fluid, that increase in pressure is transmitted undiminished to every point of the fluid and to the walls of the containing vessel, acting perpendicular to the surface at every point.
