Q.Suppose that the lower half of the concave mirror reflecting surface is covered with an opaque material. What effect will this have on the image of object placed in front of mirror ? Explain with the help of diagram.

Covering half a mirror doesn't cut the image in half — every point of the object still sends rays to every point of the remaining mirror surface, so the full image still forms, just with less light (dimmer).

A concave mirror forms an image by rays reflected from every point on its reflecting surface converging (or appearing to diverge from) the image point. Each point on the object sends out rays in all directions, and rays from many different points across the mirror's surface all combine to form the image of that single object point.

If the lower half of the mirror is covered with an opaque material, rays that would have struck the lower half are simply blocked — but rays from the same object points still reach the (uncovered) upper half of the mirror and are still reflected to converge at the same image point. So:
