In the frog's male reproductive system: the pale finger-like projections above the testis are fat bodies, the dark oval organ is the testis, the thin duct carrying sperm into the kidney is the vasa efferentia, and the small whitish lobed structure near the kidney is the seminal vesicle.

The male reproductive system of a frog consists of a pair of oval, yellowish/dark testes lying close to the kidneys, attached at their anterior end to finger-like, yellow fat bodies (corpora adiposa) which nourish the developing gametes. From each testis, a number of fine ducts called the vasa efferentia pass into the adjacent kidney, carrying sperm into the kidney's ureter. In the male frog, the ureter itself doubles up as a urinogenital duct (carrying both urine and sperm) and, just before opening into the cloaca, is dilated into a small sac called the seminal vesicle, which temporarily stores sperm before mating.
