Quantasomes are the structural and functional photosynthetic units studded on the thylakoid membranes inside the chloroplast.

The chloroplast is a double-membrane plastid whose inner space (stroma) contains a system of flattened, membrane-bound sacs called thylakoids, stacked into grana.
