A zwitterion is the internally-salted, dipolar form an amino acid actually exists in; denaturation is the unfolding of a protein's 3-D shape (not its sequence) caused by heat or chemical agents.

Zwitter ion: An amino acid has both an acidic (–COOH) and a basic (–NH₂) group in the same molecule. In practice, a proton is internally transferred from the –COOH group to the –NH₂ group, so the amino acid exists as a dipolar ion — with a positively charged –NH₃⁺ group and a negatively charged –COO⁻ group on the same molecule, with an overall net charge of zero. This dipolar/internal-salt form is called a zwitterion, and it explains why amino acids have high melting points and behave like salts (soluble in water, insoluble in nonpolar solvents).

Protein denaturation: When a protein (in its native, biologically-active form, folded into a specific secondary/tertiary structure held by hydrogen bonds and other weak interactions) is subjected to a change in temperature (heating) or pH, or treated with a chemical agent, these weak stabilising interactions are disrupted. The protein unfolds/loses its specific 3-D shape and its biological activity (e.g. enzymatic activity), even though the primary structure (the sequence of amino acids joined by peptide bonds) remains unchanged. A common example is the coagulation of egg white (albumin) on boiling an egg.

OR (alternative part) — DNA Fingerprinting:

DNA fingerprinting is a technique used to identify differences in specific, highly variable (repetitive/VNTR - variable number tandem repeat) regions of an individual's DNA, which are unique to each person (except identical twins), even though most of the DNA sequence is common to all humans.
