Fibrous vs globular proteins differ in shape/solubility; DNA vs RNA differ in sugar, bases and strandedness.

Two differences, Fibrous Protein vs Globular Protein:

  1. Fibrous proteins have molecules arranged in parallel, thread/fibre-like chains held together by hydrogen and disulphide bonds (e.g. keratin, myosin, collagen); globular proteins have polypeptide chains coiled around themselves into a compact spherical/globular shape (e.g. insulin, albumin).
  2. Fibrous proteins are generally insoluble in water; globular proteins are generally soluble in water.
