A Bivariate Frequency Distribution is the simultaneous classification of a set of observations according to TWO variables at once, usually presented as a two-way table.

While a univariate frequency distribution classifies data according to a single variable (e.g., marks obtained), a bivariate frequency distribution classifies observations jointly by two variables (e.g., height and weight of students, or price and quantity demanded), showing how many observations fall into each combination of a class of the first variable and a class of the second variable.
