1-D, 2-C, 3-A, 4-B: medication reminder = Smart Health, door-lock alert = Home Automation, parking-space alert = Smart Parking, TV control from a watch = Smart Wearable.

The idea. Each row describes an everyday alert or action, and each option names an IoT application area. The trick is to ask: which device sensed or acted here, and what domain does it belong to?

Working through each row

  1. "You got a reminder to take medication" — reminders about medicines, doses and health schedules come from health-monitoring apps/devices (often synced with a doctor's prescription or a fitness tracker). Domain: D. Smart Health.
  2. "SMS alert that you forgot to lock the door" — the sensing device is a connected door lock/door sensor in your house, reporting its state to your phone. Connected household devices (locks, lights, ACs, cameras) constitute C. Home Automation.
  3. "SMS alert that parking space is available near your block" — occupancy sensors in parking slots feeding availability to drivers is precisely the A. Smart Parking application of smart cities.
  4. "You turned off your LED TV from your wrist watch" — the acting device is worn on the body; a smart watch acting as a remote/controller is a B. Smart Wearable.
