They may be viable (small living organisms such as bacteria, fungi, moulds and algae) or non-viable (not alive, and also help transport viable particles), the non-viable ones further split into four types by nature and size.
Step 2. Smoke. Solid particles, or a mixture of solid and liquid particles, formed by the combustion of organic matter -- e.g. cigarette smoke, oil smoke, and smoke from burning fossil fuel, garbage or dry leaves.
