Rewrite the plane equation in intercept form xa+yb+zc=1\frac{x}{a}+\frac{y}{b}+\frac{z}{c}=1 by dividing through so the RHS becomes 1.

2x+y−z=52x+y-z=5

Divide both sides by 55:

x5/2+y5+z−5=1\dfrac{x}{5/2}+\dfrac{y}{5}+\dfrac{z}{-5}=1
