Concept Map

Concept Map

This concept map shows how the chapter fits together. It has two parts: Differentiation — techniques for differentiating implicit, parametric and logarithmic functions and finding higher-order derivatives — and the Application of Derivatives — cost and revenue functions, the derivative as a rate of change (including marginal cost and revenue), the slope and equation of the tangent and normal to a curve, and increasing/decreasing behaviour leading to maxima and minima.
