Jung's classification of personality attitude splits people into Introvert or Extrovert. Introverts are 'predominantly interested in their own mental self,' typically reserved or reflective, preferring to be withdrawn from external reality. They 'opt to live in their own inner world of feelings and thoughts' and take pleasure in solitary activities such as reading, writing or meditating; they tend to shy away from public interactions, are less vocal, and are more analytical before speaking.
Extroverts are described as the 'total opposite' - they prefer the outer world of things, are broad-minded, highly socialised, and can meet unknown people easily. They are described as 'very bold, outgoing and optimistic,' and tend to enjoy human interaction - being enthusiastic, talkative, assertive and gregarious, taking pleasure in large social gatherings such as parties, community activities or business/political groups, and tending to work well in groups. …
