Air Seasoning

Air seasoning is the process of removing moisture from cut timber without resorting to any artificial source of heat. In this method, cut timber pieces are simply left exposed in the open air, and the moisture within them is removed naturally and gradually, driven off by the ordinary heat of the sun rather than by any purpose-built heating equipment.
