Intercepts of a Line

The intercepts of a line are the points at which it crosses the coordinate axes. The xx-intercept is the point where the line meets the xx-axis — where the yy-coordinate is zero — and the yy-intercept is where it meets the yy-axis — where the xx-coordinate is zero.
