For p→qp\to q: the converse is q→pq\to p (swap), the inverse is ¬p→¬q\neg p\to\neg q (negate, keep order), the contrapositive is ¬q→¬p\neg q\to\neg p (negate AND swap).

Step 1. (i) Identify p,qp,q. pp: "xx and yy are numbers such that x=yx=y"; qq: "x2=y2x^2=y^2".

Step 2. Converse (q→pq\to p). "If x2=y2x^2=y^2 then x=yx=y."

Step 3. Inverse (¬p→¬q\neg p\to\neg q). "If x≠yx\ne y then x2≠y2x^2\ne y^2."

Step 4. Contrapositive (¬q→¬p\neg q\to\neg p). "If x2≠y2x^2\ne y^2 then x≠yx\ne y."

Step 5. (ii) Identify p,qp,q. pp: "a quadrilateral is a square"; qq: "it is a rectangle."

Step 6. Converse (q→pq\to p). "If a quadrilateral is a rectangle then it is a square."

Step 7. Inverse (¬p→¬q\neg p\to\neg q). "If a quadrilateral is not a square then it is not a rectangle." …
