Price Demand refers to the quantity of a good a consumer is willing to buy at various prices during a given period, other things (income, tastes, prices of related goods) remaining constant. It is written as D = f(P). It follows the law of demand: as price falls, quantity demanded rises, and as price rises, quantity demanded falls — an inverse relationship shown by a downward-sloping demand curve.

Meaning of Price Demand

Price demand is the demand for a good considered in relation to its own price, assuming that income, tastes and preferences, and prices of related goods remain unchanged. It is expressed as:

D = f(P)

where D = quantity demanded and P = price of the good.
