Yogic kriyas are the six Shat Karma cleansing processes designed to keep the body's tridosha balance, and therefore its health, intact.

The textbook grounds its definition of yogic kriyas in the tridosha theory of Indian medicine: the human body is made of three basic constituents — Vata (the mechanical functional constituent), Pitta (the chemical functional constituent) and Kapha (the material functional constituent). Any imbalance in these tridoshas leads to disease.
