First find P(A)+P(B)P(A)+P(B) from P(A∪B)=P(A)+P(B)−P(A∩B)P(A\cup B)=P(A)+P(B)-P(A\cap B), then use P(Ac)+P(Bc)=2−[P(A)+P(B)]P(A^c)+P(B^c) = 2-[P(A)+P(B)].

Given P(A∪B)=0.65P(A\cup B)=0.65, P(A∩B)=0.15P(A\cap B)=0.15.

Since P(A∪B)=P(A)+P(B)−P(A∩B)P(A\cup B) = P(A)+P(B)-P(A\cap B):

P(A)+P(B)=P(A∪B)+P(A∩B)=0.65+0.15=0.80P(A)+P(B) = P(A\cup B)+P(A\cap B) = 0.65+0.15 = 0.80.
