The illustrated fracture is a transverse fracture (a straight break across the bone); the diagonal break described in question 3 belongs to a different fracture type, oblique.

1. Type of injury. Any fracture - a break in a bone - is, by the book's own classification in section 7.5.2, a bone injury, i.e., a hard tissue injury, as opposed to a soft tissue injury (muscle/ligament/tendon), a joint injury (dislocation), or a ligament injury specifically (a sprain).

2. Which fracture is illustrated. The accompanying figure shows a single long bone with a straight horizontal break across its mid-shaft. Section 7.5.4 defines exactly this pattern as a transverse fracture: "Transverse fracture is when there is a straight break right across a bone... caused [by] a large amount of force... transmitted directly i.e., perpendicularly to the bone." This rules out Greenstick (a BENT, not broken, young bone), Comminuted (bone shattered into several pieces, not one clean line), and Oblique (a diagonal, not straight-across, break) …
