Kohlrausch's law of independent migration states that at infinite dilution each ion contributes a fixed share to the molar conductivity, so Λm∘=ν+λ+∘+ν−λ−∘\Lambda^{\circ}_m =\nu_+\lambda^{\circ}_+ +\nu_-\lambda^{\circ}_-. It lets us get Λm∘\Lambda^{\circ}_m for weak electrolytes and the degree of dissociation.

Statement: At infinite dilution, where dissociation is complete and ions move independently of one another, the limiting molar conductivity of an electrolyte is the sum of the individual limiting molar conductivities of its cations and anions:

Λm∘=u+ λ+∘+u− λ−∘\Lambda^{\circ}_m = u_+\,\lambda^{\circ}_+ + u_-\,\lambda^{\circ}_-

where ν+\nu_+ and ν−\nu_- are the numbers of cations and anions per formula unit.
